Therapy – also known as counseling or psychotherapy counseling – is an empowering journey of self-awareness and improvement. Confidential one-one-one sessions will allow you to explore your thoughts, emotions and behaviors guiding your life. People enter therapy for many reasons, from anxiety, stress, depression, to trauma or bereavement. Others may be curious to learn more about themselves to more deeply understand their actions. Some may want to enrich their lives and relationships. Whatever your circumstances, therapy can be the first step of empowerment, self-awareness and transformational change.
I will work with you in a supportive, collaborative process, that will allow you to explore your experiences, behaviors and beliefs. With the benefit of fresh insight, you will learn to identify blind spots and patterns which are holding you back from happiness and you will gain the strength and strategies needed to overcome them.
As you grow, you will grow in WISDOM and resilience and learn to discard the unhelpful responses you have developed and learn to move forward equipped with new tools for attaining lasting well-being.
Individual counseling is an unique relationship. Because confidentiality is key, there is no other situation like it. Individual therapy allows the client to talk more freely with their therapist than any other relationship they have.
Whether it is healing, change, or something complicated that needs to be figured out, there is no better place to do this than with a trusted counselor. When struggling during times of grief, loss, anxiety, depression, seeking change, transitioning into new role whether it is life stage changes, work, relationship loss etc, or any other reason, individual therapy can be the perfect place to heal change and grow.
General issues therapy can address:

Parenting can be stressful, knowing when and how to praise or discipline your children can be difficult and confusing. Family stress can disrupt and fracture relationships. Family therapy is a way of repairing relationships and improving dynamics. Family therapy can help repair and improve relationships where both internal and external stressors have led to fractures, conflict or distress. With help, each family member is encouraged to express and explore his or her thoughts, emotions, reactions and behavior. The dynamics of families are often complex. Often, others in your family are unaware of how our personal struggles affect one another and how the struggles of our families affect us. My goal is to help the family develop healthier more successful ways of dealing with problems or issues.
Family therapy can be intense and at times there may be family members may not wish to attend. The therapeutic process will begin with as many family members as possible and ensure all members get heard. Whether you are struggling with the challenges of raising elementary students, the teen years, or beyond, we can help family members discover and change the relational patterns holding them back from a fulfilling relationship.
Family therapy is more than just seeing the whole family at one time. Family counseling is a holistic approach to therapy. Family therapy interrupts negative patterns of thought and behavior in hopes of increasing connection, self esteem and mental wholeness.
Group therapy is not only a cost effective way to engage in counseling, group therapy is a meaningful and effective way to create change. Group therapy is a safe place to grow with others who are growing in the same way.
Most groups include from 5-15 people who are struggling with similar concerns. Even though people may have similar diagnosis, all group members will have different life experiences making group therapy a great way to hear new perspectives. It is also shown to be highly effective.
If you do not see a group you are looking for, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to see if a group can be formed for that topic or if there is already one in session.
